FILM SCREENING

Screening nights are all about celebrating the short films being produced locally. It is a chance to meet the directors, talent, or subjects of the stories. All films are pre-screened for quality and content. We want viewers to walk away feeling inspired and proud of their community.

Want to submit a film?

There are no specific criteria. It can be scripted or documentary. But we do tend to choose films that celebrate the human spirit in some way. Submit your film below. Must be in attendance if your film screens.

WORKSHOP

Each month, we will provide a workshop or training in the areas of filmmaking. This month’s workshop will be led by Isaac Stambaugh, a 20 year independent filmmaking veteran. Isaac will be condensing his course: Make and Sell a Feature Film with No Money - An easy framework for filmmaking with no budget.

You will learn:

  • Funding Strategies

  • Navigating Distribution Opportunities

  • Who to Cast in the Lead Role

  • The Most Important Budget Item

  • How to Maximize Locations

  • Where to get Free Equipment

  • Most Efficient Way to Schedule Production

What to expect.

  • Free, easy parking even though we are downtown!

  • A few minutes of mingling with free snacks and drinks with empanadas from the Empanada’s Box.

  • About 30 minutes of curated short films with opportunities to ask questions and learn.

  • About 45 minutes in a workshop or learning opportunity.

  • A few more minutes of connection at the end.
